We’ve done a bit of touring around Queensland and New South Wales over the past 28 years. Over the last 10 we have started stopping at the local pubs in country towns for a ‘coldie’. So when I seen a book called Australian Bush Pubs, I just had to buy it. Upon opening It we found we’d already visited 3 of the 51 pubs listed, I have visited another 3 when touring with mates on the bike.
Our aim is to try and visit every single pub listed in this book over the next few years, at least as much a s possible with any covid restrictions. Some of them are out of the way so we will make good use of our new 4WD.
The book is really well laid out with photos and the accompanying text has a short history of each pub along with any unusual stories, such as famous patrons and events.
