As were doing the ABC’s of Touring via the HOG (Harley Owners Group) we decided on an overnighter to Clermont in central Queensland.
Clermont is a great country town to visit and it’s well worth booking into a motel to stay the night.
We stayed at Smart Stayzzz Inns Clermont it’s as far as I know the newest motel in town. Being a country town this motel is only a short walk to any of the 4 hotels in town.
Our favourite motel to frequent is the Commercial Hotel Clermont. This is a great place to kick back with a cold beer and unwind on a Saturday afternoon. The chilli pizza is fantastic with just enough heat to make the taste buds tingle.
Some great scenery out along the Peak Downs highway once you get past the Moranbah turn off.
