This trip has been a long time coming, it was originally planned for August – September 2022. So we’re excited to finally get it happening.
We are also this this tour in our new ride the fabulous Mercedes Benz GLC 300.
Leaving the Capricorn Coast early our destination was Goondiwindi a rural town and locality in Queensland, Australia. It is on the border of Queensland and New South Wales.
We would venture from home to Goondiwindi, via Biloela, Monto, Mundubbera, Jandowae, Dalby, Cecil Plains, Millmerran, Cecil Plains, Inglewood and Yelarbon.
The main point of interest was going to be getting some photos of the Yelarbon silo art. We also stopped at the old Cecil Plains train station for some photos, some wall art in Millmerran.
Also stopped in at the Exchange Hotel in Jandowae for a cold beer.
We found some cool artwork coming into Goondiwindi that we stopped and photographed. From there it was a short drive into Goondiwindi to our motel. We stay at the Macintyre Motor Inn. It is close to pubs and restaurants, being on McLean Street it is a very short drive to the NSW border being the old highway.
