Today would see us continue our adventure of looking at lighthouses with our destination being the Rendezvous Hotel Sydney (The Rocks). The Rocks is a favourite for us with stays in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2023.
As Bega had a McDonalds, we stopped in for a quick coffee and muffin meal before getting on our journey.
Lighthouses fascinate me in regard to how isolated many were and the people who chose to work them being far from towns and cities.
There are sure plenty of them across Australia and most are accessible to the public. You can see their locations on the Lighthouses of Australia website.
I had some trepidation about driving in Sydney and found it to be easier to get around in that I expected. The exception being the GPS in the GLC300 telling us to turn right at No Right Turn streets. There is a Wilsons Parking conveniently located directly below the Rendezvous Motel.
Once we were settled in at the Rendezvous we wandered up to Harts Pub for dinner and a couple of cold beers.
After dinner we wandered back to Circular Quay to take in the sites.
