Today is a ride day with little of worth to see aside from the Continental Divide and some stunning countryside. Our destination for today was Flagstaff, Arizona. Today is also our longest ride day with 547 km (339 miles) to be covered. We chose to do a longer run due to the lack of things to look at along this part of Route 66.
The ride from the Arizona border to Flagstaff is mostly done on the interstate. Do take the time to veer off it and check out Holbrook and Winslow. One good thing about the interstate it sure moves fast, make sure you stay alert for vehicles changing lanes.
Our motel for the night was the Days Inn Flagstaff. The Galaxy Diner was handily located straight across the road.
