Today seen us travel 381km’s ( 287 miles), our destination for the day was Rialto, California. With the morning dawning we had the following touristy things planned today:

Our first stop would be Roy’s Motel and Café was a motel, café, gas station, and auto repair shop on the former U.S. Route 66, old town remains of Amboy. It’s claim to fame was it was a stop over for Route 66 travellers with its café, an auto repair garage, and accommodation  of small cabins for overnight rental by Route 66 travellers.

The “ghost town” is based around an old mining town that has been turned into a tourist spot. For the most part it is pretty good and it’s worth the visit. Both of the Route 55 museums were good, both are worth a visit to check them out.

With all of our touristy things done we continued our journey to our motel in Rialto. We had booked in to the Days Inn Fontana / Rialto, it was a little pricey for what it offered.
