As we had a fairly big day travelling, we were up early and leaving the motel by 5:50am. The GPS surprisingly gave us clear and easy directions for departing Sydney, unlike the ones it gave coming into Sydney.
Our journey today would see us get to Brisbane, with stops at:
- Tacking Point Lighthouse.
- Cape Byron Lighthouse
I’m not sure it’s a drive I’d do again in one day, with checking out the lighthouses, rest breaks, a lunch and fuel stop we checked into the Oaks Aurora in Brisbane at 6:20pm. Once we were settled in and unpacked, we went for a short walk to The Pig and Whistle for a beer and a bite to eat, after that it was the fun of doing a load of laundry. We are pretty hard core on holidays :D.
