Touring is thirsty work!.
Project AntJan is the development of a MY21 NX Pajero GLS into an offroad tourer. This project is the result of a couple of things, the first was lifestyle changes and the second is the used car prices of the Holden Commodore VFII SSV. A few years ago we spent most of our time touring …
The Rocks in Sydney is one of our favourite destinations in Australia. From Circular Quay, the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and so many places to have a cold beverage makes it a great place to spend a few days unwinding. When we go to The Rocks we stay at The Rendezvous. They have rooms as …
Small Rooms This motel is clean and very tidy, the downside is it has no lift and the rooms are tiny. Being in The Rocks it is an ideal location to plenty of restaurants and pubs. That said though I’d have to think hard about staying again the room we had was a shoe box. …
December meant it was time for a trip to Sydney. Once again we went down to the The Rocks in Sydney it’s one of our favourite destinations in Australia. Circular Quay, the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and so many places to have a cold beverage. When we go to The Rocks we normally stay …
Understaffed We called in here whilst on holiday at The Rocks, it’s a nice cosy pub. Beer prices are reasonable. The barman was under the pump trying to serve everyone. One person as wait/clean up kept them both pretty busy. The person cleaning up seemed disinterested and there were glasses stacked all along the end …

With our tour over 1/2 over we hit the road early in the morning heading towards Tambo for a breakfast stop. Cruising along in a low convertible gives a deceptive feeling of speed. A quick glance at the speedo made me realise we were getting along at a rate that would be frowned upon by …
Today we would be touring to Charleville from Toowoomba, with a planned stop at the artesian hot springs at Mitchell. Our first stop was Darby’s bakery in Oakey for a pastry treat. It seems we have lost any photos we took during the day, or maybe we never took any. The Great Artesian Spa at …
After spending the night in Gayndah it was time to hit the road and head towards Toowoomba. Our drive would take us through Goomeri, Nanango and Yarraman, Cooyar and Crows Nest. Our first stop was the historic “Chowey Bridge” at Didcot. We had no firm plans for stops and photos, the plan was to pull …
This time we toured on 4 wheels instead of our usual 2 wheels, with the Mazda MX5 getting a run. Got to say we can carry more luggage on the old CVO Road Glide utilising the luggage rack on the top box than we could fit in the Mazda. Today’s destination was the township of Gayndah in …
