I was always under the impression that Cook’s Cottage was the residence of the famous Captain James Cook. well a visit to the cottage improved my knowledge on the subject.
The cottage was constructed in 1755 by the parents of Captain James Cook and The building was purchased and brought to Melbourne in 1934 by the Australian philanthropist Sir Russell Grimwade.
It is well wort a visit as it has period furniture and a video display on Captain Cook’s journeys.
