There is nothing like the feeling of freedom when you are touring on 2 or 3 wheels. A convertible gets close but it doesn’t match the feeling on being on a touring motorcycle. The freedom of the open road allows you to explore new places, make your own stops, and discover hidden gems along the way. It’s a feeling of escape from routine that provides a sense of independence has a calming influence on your life.
We first started doing 2 wheeled adventures together in around 2009, since then we have clocked up may kimometres on 2 wheels.
Our adventures have seen us get as far south as Port Macquarie in New South Wales and a ride down the amazing Oxley Highway. We have ventured as far west as the Northern Territory border and a far north Kurumba. Going from a Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic to a H-D Heritage Softail, H-D Ultra, H-D CVO Road Glide Ultra and H-D CVO Street Glide.
We’ve done the HOG rally in NSW in 2014, QLD HIOG rallies in 2015? and 2017, As well as a trip along Route 66 in 2018.
It has been about 5 years since we did any 2 wheeled touring and now we are moving to 3 wheeled touring we will no doubt begin our adventures again.
