The Naked Racer Café – Motorcycle Heaven 🏍️

Well, here’s a place that could keep a motorcycle enthusiast occupied for quite some time… and possibly require a search party to get them out again! 😂

Established in 1988, the Naked Racer has evolved from its antique motorcycle beginnings into an absolute treasure trove for classic and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts. Today, Naked Racer Moto Co. is home to an impressive motorcycle museum featuring more than 250 rare and exotic machines.

And what a place it is!

If you love motorcycles, this place deserves a spot on your Melbourne itinerary. Even if bikes aren’t particularly your thing, the atmosphere, décor, food and coffee make it well worth a visit.

For motorcycle lovers, however, it’s a bit like letting a kid loose in a lolly shop. Everywhere you turn there’s another beautiful machine to admire, another photo opportunity and yet another video worth recording.

Naturally, we spent quite a while wandering around, snapping photos and filming the impressive collection. There was certainly no shortage of things to look at, and I reckon I could have happily spent another couple of hours there.

Having recently acquired a BMW K1600B, I was already suffering from a serious case of motorcycle enthusiasm. So there was absolutely no chance of Mrs Thirsty having to drag me away from this place. In fact, she probably needed to check whether I’d actually remembered she was there! 🤣

The café was equally impressive, with fantastic décor, good food and coffee to match. It’s a great combination of motorcycle history, atmosphere and somewhere to sit down and enjoy a bite to eat.

We were certainly glad we took the BMW salesman’s recommendation. It’s one of those unexpected finds that turns an ordinary morning into a memorable outing.

The Thirsty Tourists Verdict

 A fantastic destination for motorcycle enthusiasts and well worth a visit if you’re in Melbourne. Even if you’re not into bikes, there’s plenty here to enjoy.

Although, if you happen to be travelling with someone who has just bought a new motorcycle, allow a little extra time. You might be there longer than planned! 😂
