Today sees us begin a shorter tour down south. Our destination today is Goondiwindi and once again we will be staying at the McIntyre Motor Inn. Unlike last year this year’s trip would be a straight run without any deviations or side tours.
I like visiting Goondiwindi, being on the Queensland border makes it an interesting location. Possibly its biggest claim to fame is its most famous resident being a thoroughbred racehorse named Gunsynd. Also known as “The Goondiwindi Grey”.
We ventured off in the pre-dawn with plans to stop in and visit some old friends at Chinchilla.
